Sudan. Blue Jackets to the Front.
Inspired by sketches made by Melton Prior and others and this splendid 1884 illustration by W H Overend, I had to make a team of Blue Jackets man-hauling a gatling gun in the Sudan. The figures are Perry Sudan Naval Brigade running at the trail. There is some simple converstion work and a tiny bit of scratch buliding but not much else. I like this.

Thanks, Michael. Had the idea the night before going to Colours, Newbury, so first stop at the event was the Perry stand. Bought the last two packs of running Blue Jackets on the stand. It was fate....
Having just returned to painting I can appreciate even more the skill you show.
This is brilliant! I am planning to make a deployed limber for my Naval brigade Gatling gun detachment.
