WAS/SYW Crann Tara Miniatures - French Infantry Regiment Royal-Bavière.

I have had these on the go since February this year. The first battalion of the French infantry regiment Royal-Bavière, a German regiment in French service. Figures are from Crann Tara. The rank and file are the "Generic" infantry figures,  very useful figures with minimal equipment that, with the correct paint job, can represent a wide variety of nationalities of the period. The command figures are from the Crann Tara range of French figures. The flags are digital downloads from the Kronoskaf website, printed out onto paper. These will feature in my next painting guide that covers this period which is currently under production at Partizan Press.

Crann Tara SYW: 1st Bn. Infantry Regiment Preysing.

Some Crann Tara 28mm SYW Prussian figures painted up as 1st Bn. Infantry Regiment Preysing of the Palatine Auxiliary Corps (Pfalzische Subsidienkorps) in French service. Flags come via some computer trickery and printing out of the regimental colours as illustrated in the SPLENDID plates produced by Frédéric Aubert now available on a new website: https://adhoc-edition.com/en/11-uniforms-flags.

Minden Miniatures SYW: 1st Battalion, Infantry Regiment Osten

Time for a new direction.  This is the first time that I have painted up any Minden Miniatures SYW figures. They are a delight to work with. Here we have some Prussian figures in Swedish cuffs masquerading as the 1st Battalion of the Infantry Regiment Osten of the Palatine Auxiliary Corps (Pfaltzische Subsidienkorps) hired by France to fight in Germany. More of such will follow. I can only hope that they are good enough to serve alongside Steve's French Minden Miniatures SYW figures that have been painted up by someone known only as "The Dentist". Flags come via some computer trickery and printing out of the regimental colours as illustrated in the SPLENDID plates produced by Frédéric Aubert and available via his SYWBS: Seven Years War Battle System FB page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/343028327548164/

40th of Foot, Grenadier Company, French and Indian War.

Something completely new for me and the entire product of painting over the past five weeks.....such is the hobby when life throws monumental brickbats at the family.  These are British Grenadiers from Front Rank Miniatures destined for service in North America between 1754 and 1763. At least I got to try out some new paints from AK Interactive over the last month or so and the freehand work was rather fun to do. I stop short at attempting to paint regimental lace because life is simply too short. The hatmen will follow but goodness knows when the entire unit of thirty figures will be complete given the demands of real life for the next few months.
