Pulp Figures Japanese Naval Landing Party.
Continuing the naval theme but this time for some BoB/Interwar gaming in 1920s and 30s. The blue is deliberately very dark. Believe it or not, there are three shades on here: a base of black, a mid tone of s 50-50 mix of VMC Dark Prussian Blue and Black, and a highlight of some more dark Prussian Blue added to the 50-50 mid-tone.

Caribbean delights.
Time for painting over recent weeks has been limited. Energy and concentration levels have been low as a result of the demands from the real job. However, things are brightening up and I have taken a break from painting arabs and guns to work of the "Haitian Project" that I began way back in November. See the first post here. This post marks the half way stage and all need to be completed by the summer. Fifty more USMC and US Navy types to go. All the figures are from the Brigade Games "Caribbean Empires" range of figures with the USMC being augmented by a few figures from the Pulp Figures range.
Haitian Gendarmerie.
US Marine Corps.
Merchant Sailors.
A few more Haitians.

More Armed Workers, Merchant Sailors and Adventurers.
The next ten of this batch of twenty. It has taken a while to get them complete due to all sorts of real life getting in the way and hampering the escapism of painting.

Armed Workers, Merchant Sailors and Adventurers
Some various civilian types... merchant sailors, armed workers and adventurous types. Bit of a rush job these. Need twenty odd done within the next few weeks with precious little time to paint. I have no idea who made these figures.... they just arrived in the post as if by magic.
It is amazing what you see when you play with the photographs... the chap in the centre has a chip out of the brown paint on his trousers. Looks like a quick touch up may be needed.
