Perry Miniatures Sudan Naval Brigade Gatling Gun and crew

More fun in the Sudan.  This dark blue paint doesn't take the varnish well at all... still shiny in places.  Time to get rid, I think.

Beautifully painted sailors - I am particularly impressed with the straight lines on their neckerchiefs!

A 10/0 brush, clenched buttocks and breath held for that. There should be three lines of white but two is enough for me...

What varnish do you use?

All the best. Aly

A spray of Rustoleum semi-gloss acrylic varnish and then brush on W&N Galleria acrylic Matt varnish. Vallejo Dark Prussian Blue seems to be the problem as all these Jacks have needed TWO coats to dull down the two darker tones. It is an old bottle so maybe it needs replacing.
