Partizan, Newark, 19th May, 2024: Two Wins in One Day.

 PARTIZAN, Newark, Sunday 19th May. Some shots of the "Fiume 1920, Revolution and New World Order" display game put on by the League of Extraordinary Kriegspielers. A top time was had by all involved and much destruction was wrought upon the Adriatic coast and the game won the "Adrian Shepheard Best Vignette" award. One was rather chuffed as this is the first time anything I have put together has won anything! The Award carried the name of our late and much missed friend and League member. It made the moment a bit more special. Big thanks to Steve for the inspiration for this. Cameron and myself, controlling the Pan-Germanic Nationalist forces were declared the victors at the end of the day....so I won TWICE! Great time. Great friendship. Great result all round. Next up....LUTZEN 1632 in October if all goes to plan.

Various Thirty Years War figures.

 Here are a number of TWY figures from Empress Miniatures, 1898 Miniatures (available from Empress Miniatures), The Assault Group and a rogue fifer from Wargames Foundry. These will be winging their way back to their owner soon. All destined for a planned Lutzen 1632 game to be staged at The Other Partizan in October this year. Flags from Flags of War.

Freikorps Command Post.

 The second vignette for the "Fiume 192?"demonstration game for Partizan in May. A command post for the German Freikorps. Figures from Great War Miniatures and Empress Miniatures. Great fun to do.

 

It will be ready when it is ready!

 A welcome, to what the Italian troops in Fiume in 192?, affectionately call "Il Ristorante delle Polpette Sospette." A little vignette to dress the table at a planned demonstration game at Partizan in May set in the "alternative reality" of the 1920s as played by the League of Extraordinary Kriegspielers. Viola Turpentine, the forces sweetheart, has been flown in from Rome, to entertain the troops with her special blend of Baltic-Sicilian-Ethiopian folk with accordion accompaniment. Clearly, one poor soldato can't take anymore! Figures are from all over the place and a Kriegspieling chum provided the resin printed dining table, chairs and bottles...clearly "liberated" from somewhere close by.

Front Rank French SYW Regiment La Sarre.

 All based up for skirmish gaming. Twenty four figures comprise this standard Battalion pack from Front Rank, sixteen of which are in the same firing pose, hence only a few of these are pictured. I am rather proud of the drummers. The flags come from GMB Designs and the finials from North Star Military Figures.

Crann Tara WAS/SYW: two chaps with a ladder

 These figures from the Crann Tara French WAS/SYW range have been painted up in the uniform of the French Swiss Regiment Castellas. The photos reveal a small piece of basing material lodged under the mustket stock of one of the figures...I'll get rid of that later!
