Foundry British Napoleonic Light Dragoons

When Light Dragoons looked like British light Cavalry, before they began to ape their French counterparts with plastron fronted coatees and shakos! Just some fun that has been lurking in the lead pile for some time.
Painted up as 11th Light Dragoons. Some liberties taken with the uniform.... the turban on the helmet should, by this date, be black rather than in the facing colour. It adds, however, some lightness to the overall appearance. I have an officer on the table as I type.

Quite pretty!

What paint combinations are you using for the jacket and the bay horses?

Hi Rob,
The blue is A base of Vallejo Model Colour Dark Prussian Blue, mid tone VMC Prussian Blue and the highlight a 50/50 mix of VMC Prussian Blue with VMC Dark Blue.

The bay horse is a base coat of Vallejo Panzer Aces Dark Rust,a mid tone of VMC Flat Brown with the highlight of VMC Mahogany Brown.

An excellent tutorial done by Toby of Artmaster Studio can be found here on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8Q4crcqfK0&list=UUvf43EaAtBIeC75Ndz0cThw&index=53
