Blue...yes....Lancers....no. Splendid Hicks sculpts from Empress Miniatures. Hoorah! With luck, these along with the other White Russians featured recently, should make their debut in the display game put on by my gaming chums of the League of Extraordinary Kriegspielers at Vapnartak, York, 6th February.
All available from Empress Miniatures.
A knot of Senior White officers (from The RJW War range from Tsuba Miniatures stocked by Empress Miniatures) and a couple of Artillery spotters from the Composite Guard Artillery Brigade (two figures from Oz Club STP, again stocked by Empress Miniatures).
This time the Maxim team for the Rifle unit previously posted ( the third figure in the set will be repurposed as an artillery spotter) and a Schneider M1910 122mm Howitzer and crew painted up as gunners from the Composite Guard Artillery Brigade. Again, these figures come from Oz Club STP stocked in the UK by Empress Miniatures.
These WW1 Russian figures are from Oz Club STP currently stocked by Empress Miniatures. Beautiful Paul Hicks sculpts painted up as a White Russian Rifle unit for service in the east. A pleasure to paint!
The 4.5 inch Howitzer, ammunition cart, crew and team from Empress Miniatures with Woodbine Designs headswaps. Now that Empress have released the 18pdr, two batteries of these will follow. I also intend to use the 18pdr and team to respresent the Berkshire Battery RHA as the RHA batteries exchanged their 13pdrs for 18pdrs before crossing the Sinai desert.
A few figures for my gaming chum, Steve, to bring some exisiting units up to strength: a company of Royal Irish Fusiliers, a company of the Black Watch, and a mounted company of the Heavy Regiment, Camel Corps. Also, Lt. Colonel E. Everatt, Officer Commanding the1st Battalion Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders...a clue as to what will follow! All figures from Perry Miniatures with the mounted officer being from Empress Miniatures with a Perry head.
