Kingsley Receives THE Order. A Second Minden Vignette.

 Maj. Gen. John Kingsley (Commanding the second echelon of von Spörcken's division): Who is this hasty Hanoverian, James?

Lt. Col. James Lockhart-Ross (Officer Commanding 25th Foot): Hmmm... It appears to be Oberst von Taube... Ferdinand's Aide... He is a Swede by birth, I collect.

Kingsley: Is he, by God. Swede or not, he is in a damned hurry.

Oberst Jakob Graf von Taube would report to Kingsley with the following order: "...advance with the regiments you have, with drums beating, and attack whatever you might encounter." Kingsley's drums began to beat, it was taken up by the first echelon, the Hanovarian Guards followed suit and the Brazen Wall began it's fateful advance.

French Napoleonic 2nd Swiss, 1815.

 The last couple of weeks, I have been mostly painting Perry plastic French Napoleonics to create the 2nd Swiss for the Hundred Days. It felt like a hundred days painting these! The flag, I think, is from GMB Designs.
