A knot of Senior White officers (from The RJW War range from Tsuba Miniatures stocked by Empress Miniatures) and a couple of Artillery spotters from the Composite Guard Artillery Brigade (two figures from Oz Club STP, again stocked by Empress Miniatures).
These little vignettes are stunning!
ReplyDeleteLovely work! I always find painting grey rather hard re: the blending of the colours. Yours have worked a treat:)
ReplyDeleteYes, Steve. I have the same problem as my style is much more simple...daub on three three tones and don't fuss too much about blending. These figures look much better actual size and the very obvious contrasts really make them pop on the tabletop. The central chap has his coat painted with Foundry Stone straight from the pots. The officer on the khaki hat has a coat of VMC Dark Sea Green base and the other two tones are that with added VMC Stone Grey. The Coassack is VMC Dark Grey, VMC Neutral Grey and finally VMC Light Grey.
DeleteMarvellous!
ReplyDeleteVery nice Mark…
ReplyDeleteGiven the amount of khaki and grey they have still turned out rather colourful…
All the best. Aly
Splendid work Mark :)
