Queen's Own Dorset Yeomanry. Musketeer Miniatures (Footsore Miniatures) Conversions 3.

I took some time out from commission painting to complete painting the first two mounted figures for QODY. Now back to WW2 Italians.

    I second the above, what magnificent color grading on these. What is the reddish brown combination used on the horses?

    Greetings chaps, Thanks for the horsey compliments. The beast ridden by the trooper has a base coat of VMC Dark Rust, a mid tone of VMC Flat Earth and a highlight of a 50/50 mix of VMC Flat Earth and VMC Golden Brown. The Officer's mount is the same but with a base coat of the darker VMC German Cammo Black-Brown.
