  1. Great painting superb vignettes what paints do you use especially for Khaki Uniforms & webbing? I've got some Great war Mini's cavalry to do. those empress figures are excellent & could get me back to an old favourite period started in 1975 due to a Military modelling article.

  2. Hi there, Fraxinus! Thanks for your kind comments. Khahki on the Tommmies on these pages begins with a basecoat of Vallejo Russian Green, then a mid coat of Vallejo English Uniform and a highlight of Vallejo Green Brown. The webbing depends...nice clean 1914 webbing is Coat D'Arms khaki (quite a light green colour) with a highlight of that plus white, later issue webbing hets Vallejo Grey Khaki with a highlight of that plus a little white.

Had fun on the Empress Miniatures. Will do some more of these.

  3. Really superb painting. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what kind of camera do you use to take photos of your miniatures. I having been trying with a bog standard digital camera on my miniatures but to no avail. If you look at my blog you'll see the picture quality is very different from your pictures.
